Information in this browser

This browser stores saved product links, recent analysis URLs, feedback drafts, API address, theme, and guest preferences. Guest watchlist targets remain local reminders. When signed in, profile, preferences, watchlists, price alerts, and in-app notifications are stored on the SureDeal server and associated with your account.

Information sent to the backend

When you analyze or compare a listing, the product URL is sent to the backend address configured in Settings. The backend may request an approved merchant or manufacturer URL and may send a derived search query to configured search services (Tavily, Brave Search, or Serper), or relevant product context to Anthropic Claude when those optional features are used. These providers have their own data practices. Do not submit private URLs or personal information.

Server records

Verified price history and user account data are stored in the configured backend database (SQLite locally, D1 or PostgreSQL in separate deployments). Legacy operator alerts remain in a separate protected store. Account sessions use an HttpOnly cookie and expire after 30 days. Email verification and password recovery may send your email address and a single-use link through the configured SMTP provider. Price notifications are in-app only in the current configuration. Choose a trusted backend and do not use this prototype for sensitive personal data.

Signup administration

When you create an account, your email address is also sent to the SureDeal administrator for signup administration. Passwords, verification codes, and session tokens are not included in this notification.

Retention and deletion

Use Profile → Clear local SureDeal data to remove this browser’s saved links, watchlist, recent items, feedback draft, API address, and preferences. Signed-in users can delete their account and associated account records after confirming their current password. Global verified product price observations are not account-owned and are retained.

Cookies and analytics

This workspace uses browser storage for local-only items and an HttpOnly session cookie when signed in. SureDeal records fixed first-party page categories and product-check/comparison outcomes; analytics events are cleaned up after 180 days. Analytics rows exclude full URLs, account IDs, browser cookies, and visitor identities, but ordinary host/network logs may have separate retention. These totals are not unique-visitor counts. Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, and the local opt-out are respected by the website analytics script.

Shopping information

SureDeal provides shopping research tools for convenience. Retailer prices, inventory, seller details, coupons, and product pages can change. Confirm details with the retailer before purchase.

Evidence and estimates

A missing or unverified price is not an offer. Historical observations describe only stored records. Search results and AI summaries are informational, may be incomplete, and do not verify prices, sellers, delivery, discounts, or return eligibility. Estimates may omit unknown costs; verify final details on the merchant site.

Retailer links and purchases

The current backend does not generate affiliate-tracking links for approved sources and this project does not establish that SureDeal earns a commission. If affiliate links are introduced later, clicking some may result in a commission, disclosed with those links; this does not imply retailer endorsement. Purchases take place on retailer sites and are subject to their terms, pricing, shipping, returns, and privacy practices.

Acceptable use

Use the website with product URLs you are permitted to access. Do not attempt to bypass authentication, access restrictions, or retailer safeguards.

Availability

This starter software is provided as-is for evaluation. User accounts are available, but email verification and password recovery require server-side SMTP configuration; guaranteed uptime and production support are not provided. Users can delete accounts and associated user-owned records after confirming their current password.

Current status

The current backend does not generate affiliate-tracking links for approved product sources, and this project does not establish that SureDeal earns a commission. Any future referral integration would be disclosed before use.

Affiliate links are not price evidence

Link generation and product-price retrieval are separate services. An affiliate link does not mean the product price was retrieved, verified, or guaranteed.

Retailer destination

Before buying, confirm the product, variant, seller, final price, delivery charges, and return terms on the retailer’s website.
